Join one of the Queensland Government's departments as they continue on a new project aimed at improving the lives of Queenslanders! This innovative and highly important department is looking to bring on a Project Officer for a 4-6 month contract to support their dynamic and fast-paced team.
About the Role:
As a Project Officer, you will:
- Support, develop and implement a broad range of communication and stakeholder engagement activities for one of the divisions
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with internal/external stakeholders
- Develop key messages and content for speeches, presentations and reports
- Collaborate with department's Corporate Communication team to deliver a variety of content across digital and traditional media (including social media activities!)
- Support the development of strategic and operational engagement strategies
- Support and work in collaboration with other Queensland Government agencies to develop and deliver regional engagement and educative activities
- Support community engagement activities associated with major policy and operational projects
- Identify concerns, gaps in information, emerging trends across stakeholder groups and geographic areas | Identify risks/opportunities to inform future engagements
- Provide communication assistance to the Director, Executive Director and Deputy Director General of the division.
The ideal candidate will:
- Be an effective multi-tasker who can handle a fast-paced environment
- Enjoy challenge and diversity in their work
- Have marketing/communication experience
- Be an excellent communicator
- Have strong Microsoft 365 skills
