About the role

Key responsibilities

• Prepare designs for civil engineering projects using 12d, AutoCAD and other relevant software
• Manage design packaging and design interfaces
• Produce designs and design documentation
• Manage the submission of documents for design approvals
• Supervise, train and mentor trainee and designers and drafters
• Assist in updates to the standards

About you

• Minimum 7 years’ experience in design (in addition to drafting experience) essential
• Urban development/subdivision and/or local government works experience
• Excellent 12d and AutoCAD skills
• Knowledge of council and other local design standards
• MUSIC and DRAINS skills ideal, but not essential
• Outstanding attention to detail and time management
• Motivation, enthusiasm and initiative

Qualifications

• Australian citizenship is required for this role
• TAFE Qualification or relevant course desirable.
