-About Us and the RoleThe Sexual Assault Resource Centre (SARC) is a free service located in Perth providing crisis services to people who have experienced a recent sexual assault (rape) in the last two weeks; and counselling for sexual assault or sexual abuse experienced recently or in the past. Services are available for people of all sexualities and gender identities aged 13 years and above.As Senior Clinical Psychologist Coordinator you will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide a clinical psychological service and support to patients who attend the Sexual Assault Resource Centre (SARC). You will be responsible for coordinating clinical psychology services, monitoring and coordinating service standards, and performance development and supervision.The successful applicant will be involved in the coordination and delivery of clinical psychology assessments and counselling care, which require a higher level of knowledge and experience, to patients of the Sexual Assault Resource Centre. The role includes maintenance of a 24 hour roster, coordinating high standards of care and educating Clinical Psychologists and other health professionals on complex mental health and psychological disorders resulting from sexual violence.This position reports to the Manager - SARC.What we are looking forWe are seeking a Senior Clinical Psychologist Coordinator with advanced clinical knowledge and experience in the delivery of clinical psychology and counselling interventions with mental health/ psychological disorders in the SARC client group. We are looking for someone who is empathetic, who has demonstrated high levels of teamwork and professional leadership and has a clear understanding of the impact of trauma. An ability to take an active role in performance development and supervision of clinical psychology and counselling staff and students will be crucial in this role.
