Senior Clinical Research Associate

As part of the Marketing division and working in a small team with the Market Access & Reimbursement Manager, this is an excellent opportunity for the right candidate who is passionate about clinical studies and scientific project management. In this role you will be establishing a new clinical research function and making a large contribution to help LifeHealthcare bring new medical technologies to Australian and New Zealand patients.

We’re looking for someone who:

• Has in-depth knowledge of Good Clinical Practice and the concepts, processes, and guidelines relating to clinical research for medical devices
• Has strong data management skills and can assimilate data from a range of scientific areas
• Can demonstrate a high level of problem solving and project management skills
• Can work under pressure and to strict deadlines

You’ll be responsible for:

• Establishing a high performing clinical research function through implementation of good clinical practice and internal capability building.
• Implementing and monitoring clinical studies and being a liaison for investigator-initiated clinical studies
• Building relationships with key clinicians and site staff
• Maintaining a high level of professional expertise through familiarity with clinical literature and participation in clinical meetings.
• Providing feedback to device manufacturers on local research implementation.

And to be successful we think you’ll need:

• Experience working in clinical research environment, preferably in the Medical Device sector
• Experience with ethics and governance approval processes
• Experience with performing study monitoring activities
• At least 5 years’ experience in clinical research environment, coupled with tertiary qualifications in science or a health-related discipline.
