Nicheliving has overseen more than 65 residential developments in Western Australia, in addition to several commercial and mixed-use projects. We are looking for a Senior Estimator with experience in residential construction. You will be exposed to a range of company developed projects ranging from affordable to high end developments.
The roles and responsibilities, but not limited to.
- The candidate is responsible for gathering any and all data required in preparing lump sum, unit rate and cost-plus detailed estimates.
- Responsible for conceptual estimating, cost analysis, and estimate coordination.
- Review of and development of discipline and multi-discipline material take-offs (MTO), evaluation and/or development of construction labour rates and evaluation of subcontract cost estimates and proposals.
- Perform productivity analysis of cost estimates, prepare contingency, escalation, and reconciliations for estimates.
- Perform comparisons of scope, quantities and cost data between projects.
- Prepare management presentations and develop an estimate basis.
- Review of process designs and engineering specifications for cost effectiveness and suggestions for alternatives where applicable.
- This role is exposed to client and company sensitive information; candidate will need to be confidential in their manner and dealings.
Who we are looking for;
- Field construction experience.
- Must also be able to coordinate team activities, conduct project cost estimate review meetings, and interface with executive management.
- Significant and relevant experience in Estimating and Scheduling.
- The candidate is competent in performing all aspects of cost estimating, and construction take offs and does not require direct supervision.
- Skills include the ability to read, interpret and comprehend engineering specifications, process design drawings and contracts.
- Must be able to enter data into a combination of spreadsheet and database software programs and create useful information from raw data submitted by others in the team.
- The candidate must be able to document and organise a complex stream of information and paperwork very quickly.
- Field experience is a significant advantage and should exist in this candidate's background of completed projects.
- Good verbal and written communications skills are required.
- A team player with good presentation and strong interpersonal skills.
