Australian Gold Reagents (AGR) is a joint venture between CSBP Limited (“CSBP”) (75 per cent) and Coogee Chemicals Pty Ltd (25 per cent). CSBP, a 100% owned subsidiary of Wesfarmers Limited is the operating and sales agent for AGR. We are a producer of a reagent located in Kwinana, Western Australia and have safely and reliably manufactured and supplied our reagent to gold mines in Western Australia since 1988 and to gold and silver mines internationally since 2002.

About the role:
Our Commercial team is looking for a hardworking individual that is committed to continually improving and adding value to the business. You will work with the Sodium Cyanide business to support the collection and analysis of information required for financial, market and commercial decisions and timely financial reporting.
In this role, you will have exposure to our customers, including some of the world's largest gold mining companies. You will play an integral role in maintaining our reputation as a leading major chemical manufacturer.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conduct appropriate analysis and evaluation of new opportunities and capital expenditure and develop and present the business case as required.
- Support the development of budgets, corporate plans, forecasts, month end reporting and cost management.
- Assist in the preparation and development of board papers, business reports and business strategy.
- Co-ordinate the development and ongoing maintenance of global sodium cyanide market demand forecasts and future supply requirements.
- Research and maintain supply trends, pricing forecasts, market trends and conditions
- Assist in the identification and evaluation of market opportunities in order to optimise business performance and provide a satisfactory return to the business.
- Conduct research and analysis and produce reports as required by management to assist in financial and commercial decisions.
- Provide support to external customer or supplier negotiations and contract development including development of pricing proposals for new and existing business.
- Support the preparation of expenditure authorisations within the Sodium Cyanide business.
- Identify and implement opportunities to improve business processes, systems and cost savings where appropriate.
- Collaborate with the operations team to ensure timely procurement of key production inputs & stock management.
- Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Science or a Business related discipline.
- Minimum five years broad based experience within a consulting, marketing, accounting, business analysis or financial modelling environment.
- Well-developed communication, interpersonal skills and relationship building skills.
- Sound understanding of financial statements and financial evaluation.
- Strong analytical and research skills.
- Sound planning and project management skills.
- Understanding of continuous improvement philosophy.
- Strong attention to detail.
