The Opportunity
The Senior Commercial Analyst role at CSBP offers a dynamicopportunity to play a crucial role in enhancing the profitabilityand competitiveness of the Fertiliser business. As part of thisrole, you'll be tasked with identifying, evaluating, andcoordinating the analysis of business operations and commercialopportunities. This involves a strategic focus on optimisingbusiness performance and ensuring a strong position in the market.Your analytical skills will contribute directly to shaping thesuccess of CSBP's Fertiliser business.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Lead and drive commercial projects through collaboration with stakeholders across the business
- Develop and use complex financial models including scenario analysis to facilitate project evaluation and monitor performance
- Conduct research and analysis and produces reports as required by senior management to assist in financial and commercial decisions
- Provide advice to general and senior management on commercial matters
- Provides support to external negotiations for supply and contract arrangements
- Provides support to the Commercial Manager to help drive the CSBP Fertiliser strategic plan.
- Maintaining and developing up to date knowledge of key industry and market trends, activities with competitors and suppliers, and end user markets.
- Coach and mentor team members and drive knowledge share in the areas of new commercial initiatives and formulating business cases.
- Live values and champion the values-based behaviour in CSBP Fertilisers
About you:
To excel in the Senior Commercial Analyst role with CSBP, youmust possess the following key attributes:
- Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Science or a Business related discipline.
- Substantial broad based experience within a consulting, business analysis, project management or financial modelling environment with an emphasis on commercial project evaluation.
- Strong project management capabilities and proven experience to deliver.
- Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong analytical, conceptual thinking and research skills.
- Hands-on experience with coaching and developing people.
- Strong financial skills, including financial modelling, valuation and risk analysis.
- Well-developed commercial judgement.
- Aspirations to a business leadership role.
- Willingness to be hands on in a small team.
