Our Role
Are you looking for a dynamic role? Pacific Energy is growing fast so we require a Senior Commercial Finance Analyst who will be responsible for project financial modelling. Reporting to the GM Corporate Finance you will be responsible for the financial risk and performance oversight for the Group’s project tendering activities.
Key Responsibilities will include:
Project Pricing Evaluation
- Perform financial modelling analysis of business opportunities to evaluate new project feasibility, including gearing and funding options
- Perform financial due diligence for potential acquisitions
- Develop, maintain and continuously improve the financial input and analysis of the Group’s commercial project pricing models, that form the basis of project pricing and investment decisions for all types of projects, including maintaining the key financial inputs and assumptions in the models;
- Work closely with the Group’s Commercial Teams across Remote Energy, Renewables and Connected Energy business units to provide necessary commercial modelling support during the tendering process;
- Review project pricing models to provide assurance as to reasonableness of financial inputs and accuracy of key financial risk and performance outputs used in decision making;
Investment Decision Making
- Identification of financial risks of projects and informing GM Corporate Finance and documenting in Board approval document
- Input to Board approval documents for investment decisions for projects;
- Respond to queries from Investors / Board / senior management on queries related to projects and information regarding pricing and capital allocation for projects
Other
- Supporting Group Corporate Finance team as required.
- Support management and maintenance of corporate financial model, as required
About You:
- Professional Degree (Engineering, Business, Accounting, Finance)
- Preference to have completed or working towards CFA
- 3-5 years’ experience in financial modelling, analysis, and investment evaluation
- Advanced financial modelling skills
- Analytical thinker with the ability to critically analyse business activities and its impact of financial performance.
- Drive to be independent and work without supervision
