As the Senior Commercial Analyst within Commercial, you will be providing strategic policy, financial and commercial advice in the Commercial Project Advisory Team working on complex projects such as the Housing Investment Fund, Build to Rent Pilot Project, property and infrastructure projects and transactions, financing arrangements and oversight of key funds.
You will undertake financial and commercial analysis, and contribute to developing funding and ownership solutions, undertake risk assessments and use your verbal and written communication skills to develop reports and advice. You will be supported by a team of experts and have the opportunity to work on a diverse range of exciting projects led or supported by the Commercial Project Advisory Team.

The key responsibilities:
Participate in projects, work teams and group activities, including planning activities. Participate with the preparation and provision of high level and expert advice to government and stakeholders on complex commercial issues. Undertake rigorous analysis of risks and options available to government for major projects, property transactions and policy and provision of government services. Contribute to developing solutions that satisfy the State's economic and financial objectives and protect the State's interests, including advising Government in relation to:
o financing, funding, delivery and ownership models and alternative ways of procuring and funding property projects and services having regard to the State's fiscal principles.
o appropriate ways of managing key commercial and financial risks in the procurement and delivery of major infrastructure, property and service projects.
Liaise, negotiate, develop and maintain positive working relationships and partnerships with internal and external clients and stakeholders. Prepare reports, submissions, briefing notes, commentary, policy, presentations, documents, publications and correspondence.
