- This is an ongoing Clerk Grade 9/10 role, based in Mascot with the flexibility to work from anywhere within NSW.
As our Senior Communications and Marketing Officer, you will play a pivotal role in planning, coordinating, and implementing communication and Marketing strategies. Your focus will include culturally appropriate engagement with Aboriginal Communities, managing digital channels, and ensuring the Aboriginal Languages Trust's social community remains well-informed and engaged.
You won't just maintain the integrity of the Trust brand; you'll create and sculpt its narrative, providing strategic advice that resonates. Your expertise will shape communication and engagement plans, ensuring they align seamlessly with Trusts agenda.
In this role, you'll be the creative force behind our communication materials, spanning social media, EDMs, intranet, website, advertising, and print media. Craft compelling leadership messages, news stories, and collaborate on visually stunning collateral with internal and external designers. Be the go-to expert, developing and executing responses to enquiries, presentations, speeches, and events. Partner with internal and external stakeholders, providing strategic communication advice, and cultivate robust relationships within communities, government agencies, and sector networks to elevate the success of our communication and Marketing strategies.

You. Our ideal candidate.- Professional Experience: Proven track record in communication and Marketing roles, showcasing a depth of experience and a history of successfully driving impactful initiatives.
- Cultural Sensitivity: Demonstrated experience and ability to communicate sensitively and effectively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, with an understanding of the issues impacting these communities in NSW.
- Digital Savvy: Proficient in content creation, delivery, and community management across various social media channels. Experience in managing digital platforms, including posting, moderation, and amplification.
- Brand Guardian: Capable of maintaining the integrity of the Trust brand by providing well-thought-out and sound communications advice. Ensures that all communications align with the Trusts agenda.
- Multichannel Expertise: Experienced in leading communication and Marketing projects using multiple communication channels, including social media, EDMs, intranet, website, public-facing advertising, and print media.
- Creative Storyteller: Skilled in developing compelling leadership messages, news stories, and other communication materials. Ability to collaborate with internal and external designers to create visually appealing collateral.
- Adaptability: Willingness to travel and adapt to the dynamic needs of the role. Capable of responding effectively to enquiries, presentations, speeches, and events as required.
- Collaborative Team Player: Able to partner with key internal and external stakeholders to provide strategic communications advice and solutions that meet project objectives. Fosters positive relationships within the Trust.
- Community Engagement: Maintains strong relationships and collaborates with community, cross-government, and sector networks to support the successful delivery of communication services and initiatives.

Salary: Clerk Grade 9/10. Package includes base salary ($120,859 - $133,183) plus employer's contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading.
