The Senior Communications and PR Manager role demands exceptional stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to influence effectively. Your expertise in leveraging and interpreting data to engage franchise stakeholders is vital. Success in this role hinges on your experience in internal communications for a major brand, external Communications and PR within an agency, and ideally, franchising experience. This combination will empower you to thrive and excel.
Some of your key responsibilities will include:
Internal Communications
- Implement internal communications strategies aligned with their business goals.
- Manage internal communication channels and create engaging content for various platforms, including email and intranet.
- Provide internal communications support for the business with events.
- Boost their profile by leveraging your strong relationships with media, journalists, and influencers to secure proactive coverage and support brand growth.
- Oversee media monitoring services, stay updated on industry trends, and PRepare award submissions.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to respond to sensitive issues and media enquiries and write and edit press releases, articles, and other materials to communicate key messages.
A Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Marketing, or Journalism is required, along with a minimum of 5+ years of experience in PR/Communications, including at least two years in an Internal Communications role. While experience in franchised businesses is advantageous, it is not mandatory. However, expertise in Crisis Communication and exceptional written and verbal communication skills are crucial.
Additionally, proficiency in project management and technical skills with tools such as Mailchimp, HubSpot, Streem, and MS Office is essential.
