About the Position
The overall purpose of the position is to conduct high level research, engage with the community and stakeholders and deliver strategic planning on a range of sport, community, recreation, leisure, and public open space projects in line with the City’s strategic Community Plan and Corporate Business Plan priorities.
Key Responsibilities
The duties of the Senior Community Infrastructure Planner will include but are not limited to:
Coordinating and delivering a range of strategic Community Infrastructure plans and projects in relation to sport, recreational, leisure, Community Infrastructure and public open space.
Preparing and coordinating Community Infrastructure projects such as needs assessments, strategic plans, feasibility studies, engagement plans, external grant applications and policies.
Coordinating external funding proposals, applications and acquittals for Community Infrastructure plans and projects.
Coordinating the implementation of Community Infrastructure and public open space strategic plans.
Developing engagement plans, consulting and communicating with a range of internal and external stakeholders on Community Infrastructure plans and projects.
About You

A tertiary qualification in sport, recreation, urban design, planning or equivalent relevant degree.
Demonstrated conceptual and analytical skills.
Well-developed knowledge, skills, and abilities in planning, managing, and implementing projects.
Well-developed problem solving and conflict resolution skills.
Considerable demonstrated and senior experience in sport, recreation, Community Infrastructure public open space or statutory planning, project management and implementation.

This permanent full-time position is a Level 8 Inside Workforce Agreement position, which attracts a salary from $103,131.93 per annum plus superannuation.
To be eligible to work for us, you need to provide, or have ability obtain a:
Australian Driver’s Licence.
National Police Clearance (valid within the last 3 months).
Pre-Employment Medical and DAS clearance.
The right to work in Australia.
