We are looking for a Senior Community Inspector to join our team to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of Regulatory Services for our community 🕵🏼♂️
As the Senior Community Inspector with City of Playford, you will be the subject matter expert supervising a team of community compliance professionals to uphold and apply Acts, ByLaws, Regulations and Council Policies consistently across our City.
🏆 What you’ll be doing 🏆
- Supervising, coordinating and guiding our team of compliance professionals on all Regulatory Services matters.
- Monitoring, guiding and coaching our team of Community Inspectors to undertake a range of complex investigations.
- Supporting the Manager with staff rostering, managing the team's annual works program and monitoring the work outcomes of our Community Inspectors.
- Ensuring that customer requests are actioned in accordance with Council's Customer Guarantee.
- Partnering with internal and external stakeholders to support best practice service delivery for our community.
- Leading proactive education and advocacy strategies to encourage our residents to contribute to a liveable and safe community.
- Supporting the Manager to maintain a positive team culture where success feels like part of the natural journey.
What you’ll bring to our team 🚀
- Demonstrated experience with reading, interpreting and applying legislation or policies.
- Outstanding communication and negotiation skills.
- Proven experience developing and leading proactive education strategies.
- Proven success in investigating Regulatory Services matters, including conducting witness statements and writing evidence briefs.
- Subject matter expertise and confidence in coaching and mentoring a team of Community Inspectors.
- Fresh ideas to help us with staying ahead of the curve, streamlining our processes and enhancing our efficiency.
