- Provide high quality clinical services to individuals and families as needed by the programs, including counselling, case management and group facilitation.
- Conduct assessments of client needs, including risk assessments, safety planning, and goal setting, in office, in the community or at clients’ residence.
- Coordinate appropriate referrals as needed, and collaborate with other members of the Community Wellbeing Team.
- Actively participate and provide ad hoc supervision, consultation and day-to-day practice support.
- Contribute to project planning, data collection and reporting.
- Deliver appropriate services to diverse range of people, including CALD and ATSI communities, and conduct outreach activities.
- Tertiary qualification in Social Work, Psychology, Counselling or equivalent
- Eligibility ‘only’ for APS, AASW or other equivalent counsellor/therapist professional membership
- Extensive experience in counselling and case management, from a trauma informed, strengths based practice framework.
- Experience working with vulnerable individuals and families (CALD and ATSI communities) including in the area of domestic and family violence.
- Excellent interpersonal skills for building rapport with diverse populations, such as older people experiencing elder abuse.
- Ability to work autonomously while also being a team player within a multidisciplinary environment.
- Ability to travel within the Northern Territory.
