Title: Senior Compliance Officer, Permanent - Full-time Role, 35 hours per week
Salary Range: $113,678.04 to $132,113.24 per annum + super (subject to skills and experience)

Our opportunity:
The key focus areas of this role include:
- Undertake complex investigations regarding unauthorised land use, unauthorised building works and non-compliances with development consents to ensure compliance with the relevant statutory requirements and Council policies.
- Assist the Team Leader Building Control (Compliance) to lead, coach and mentor staff in building compliance matters with a strong focus on delivering the highest quality customer service.
- Peer review investigation reports prepared by Building Compliance Officers to ensure a consistent approach in the regulation and enforcement of illegal development.
- Identify improvement opportunities and initiate or undertake projects on behalf of the Manager Building Control to drive continuous improvement.
- Identify and implement customer service initiatives to ensure the needs of the community are met and consistent with Council’s corporate Customer Service Charter.
