The Opportunity
We are currently seeking a highly motivated Senior Construction Estimator to join our high performing Bid Management team in Sydney (Girraween).
In this role you will be responsible for the preparation of winning bid responses through the development of creative value propositions to solve our customers problems. You are an individual that enjoys partnering with others to develop a strategy, estimation & managing project risks. Main duties include:
- Managing bids end to end
- Effectively planning and preparing tender responses with the support of junior Bid Management members
- Understanding the tender documents, scope of works and commercial elements of contracts with the support of our legal council
- Understanding our client’s needs and meeting their expectations by providing quality solutions
- Work with the Business Development team to develop a clear win strategy
- Putting our best foot forward with proposals
Key Selection Criteria:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering preferred
- Demonstrated experience in construction tender submissions / estimation, or as a civil, water or sewer engineer, or Quantity Surveyor
- High level of IT proficiency, computer literacy, MS Office Suite
- Effective communication skills and leadership skills
