Office of the Industry Advocate
The Primary role for the Senior Consultant – Industry Participation is to deliver and promote the objectives of the Industry Advocate to implement and ensure compliance with the Industry Advocate Act 2017, SA Industry Participation Policy and the SAIPP Procedural Guidelines and to provide expert advice, consultation and assistance to all South Australian Public Authorities and a broad range of businesses, private sector parties, universities and Not-for-Profits contracting to the Government of South Australia.
The Senior Consultant – Industry Participation is accountable to the General Manager and responsible for implementation of the SAIPP, Procedural Guidelines and the use of approved documentation including Industry Participation Plans approved by the Industry Advocate by:
- Working collaboratively with the Industry Advocate and Office of the Industry Advocate team to deliver high quality professional services on behalf of the South Australian Government.
- Providing expert Industry Participation Policy interpretation and implementation advice to a broad range of Government and private sector stake holders participating in SA Government and local Government procurement and grant processes.
- Review and maintain accurate reporting, assessing, and confirming the benefits realisation and reporting progress to the Industry Advocate.
- possess a high level of written and verbal communication skills along with a board range of technical and consulting experience.
- demonstrated knowledge of supply chain and procurement processes, including competitive tenders.
- knowledge of policies, procedures, decision-making and processes and their application in relation to Industry Advocate operations.
- Full time ongoing role.
- Some out of hours’ work may be required to fulfil the responsibilities of the role.
- Engagement in this role may be subject to a satisfactory Department for Human Services Criminal History Check or National Police Check. (Renewal is required every 3 years)
- Intra-state and inter-state travel may be required.
