Position Overview:
As a Senior Contract Administrator, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the contractual aspects of the projects, ensuring compliance with regulations, mitigating risks, and fostering positive relationships with clients, subcontractors, and other stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in this role preferably with commercial and residential experience and a strong understanding of contract law and proven negotiation skills.
Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of contract administration, including drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts, change orders, and other legal documents.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, architects, and other team members to ensure contractual compliance and resolve any disputes or issues that may arise.
- Conduct thorough risk assessments and develop strategies to mitigate potential liabilities.
- Monitor project budgets, timelines, and performance to ensure adherence to contract terms and conditions.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and subcontractors regarding contractual matters, providing timely and accurate information and guidance as needed.
- Stay current on industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to contract administration and make recommendations for process improvements as appropriate.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in contract administration within the construction industry, with a focus on both commercial and residential projects preferably.
- Strong understanding of contract law and construction regulations.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in contract management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
