Seeking a Contracts Officer to join a State Government department based South of Perth CBD, starting ASAP Your new company This State Government department is based South of Perth CBD, and is seeking an experienced Contracts Officer to start as soon as possible. Initially, you will be engaged on a temporary basis for 3-months, working full-time hours and paid at a competitive hourly rate. Your new role As the Senior Contracts Officer, you will be responsible for developing contract and tender documentation, ensuring they are aligned with government processes and requirements. Your duties will include:
Leading and managing contract development projects within the team
Liaise and negotiate with contract suppliers around expected contract processes, delivering advice as needed and responding to general queries
Review and monitor new and existing contracts, ensuring they are compliant with government processes
Monitor the performance of certain contractors, delivering reports to stakeholders around this as required
What you'll need to succeed In order to be considered, you will demonstrate:
Previous experience working within a contract management role, ideally within the government sector
Experience in the development, procurement and management of medium to high-risk contracts
Advanced written and verbal communication skills, with confidence in developing and managing complex procurement documentation
Advanced interpersonal skills with confidence in stakeholder engagement
Strong organisation skills with the ability to manage multiple competing deadlines
