About the role
  
We are seeking proactive, highly organised and people-focused Senior Coordinator, Partnerships and Development to contribute to maximising opportunities and awareness of our mission across the state.
  
Leaning on your experiences in business development, project management, administration and/or fundraising, the Senior Coordinator, Partnerships and Development ensures the efficient operation of CCQ’s Strategic Partnerships and Regional Development portfolio to enable team success and increase Cancer Council Queensland’s impact statewide.
  
Working both internally and externally, the position is critical to developing growth through coordination of business development processes, assistance with strategic proposals, delivery of fundraising programs and reporting for data-informed decision-making.
  
With support and oversight from the Senior Manager, Strategic Partnerships, the Senior Coordinator supports a diverse statewide team of Development Specialists and Corporate Partnership professionals that focus on five core activity pillars - Philanthropy, Corporate Investment, Campaigns and Events, Community Engagement and Local Area Marketing.
  
Key duties:

  • Work with the Senior Manager, Strategic Partnerships and other team managers to develop and implement engagement strategies and projects across the five core pillars, contributing to annual plans and budgets.
  • Develop, implement and maintain effective operational systems and processes for the Strategic Partnerships and Regional Development portfolio. These are across finance, CRM, volunteer management and administrative systems.
  • Contribute to the development of strategic proposals and pitches, including attendance at client meetings, events and presentation delivery as required.
  • Triage team inboxes and enquiry to maximise partnership and development opportunities.
  • Regularly report on income secured and expenditure, and conduct analysis for strategy reviews and reflections.
  • Manage risk assessment processes and ensure team activities align with best practice.
  • Effective collaboration across internal and external priority stakeholders.
  • Coordinate key documentation across the team.
  • Actively participate in the Policy and Programs work-planning, documentation, and accountability for progress against team and organisation-wide objectives.  
This role is the perfect opportunity for a highly motivated individual that is a great communicator and strong operator that is looking to develop their experiences in not-for-profits, fundraising, business development and/or operations management.
  
This role is Permanent, Full-time (37.5 hours/week), based in Brisbane. 
  
About you
  
Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge and Skills 
  
Essential
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in administration, business development, project management and/or fundraising
  • Highly developed time management skills and can manage multiple tasks and prioritise with maximum impact
  • Demonstrated experience with logistical projects, events and/or competing priorities
  • Demonstrated experience with developing and maintain effective operational processes
  • Demonstrated experience with finance, CRM, volunteer management and administrative systems
  • Ability to motivate and encourage teams, supporters and, volunteers adopting a highly agile, problem-solving attitude.
  • Exceptional relationship manager with the ability to easily build relationships with key stakeholders
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Current Queensland drivers’ license
  Desirable
  • Experience in a similar role in a for purpose organisation in Australia.
  • Relevant higher education degree
