This is a full time position at a HEP 8, $102,256 - $115,153 classification plus 17% employer superannuation working 36.75 hours per week over a fixed-term contract period.
Victoria University (VU) is seeking an experienced candidate to manage our Work Integrated Learning Unit within the College of Health and Community. About the Role:
Reporting to the Executive Director, you will be responsible for:
- Building relationships with industry partners and other VU areas to provide the best opportunities and placements for VU Polytechnic students
- Providing expertise and strategic advice to the Executive Director to ensure systems and student placements comply with all legal and VU policy requirements including health and safety
- Leading a team of placement officers to provide learner support, industry engagement and streamline educational administration processes.
- Managing a broad range of placement courses in many departments
- Identifying opportunities to develop and introduce new training programs for placement allocations and other business opportunities.
About You:
We are looking for an individual who has:
- Experience and understanding of work-integrated learning programs and activities provided by the tertiary sector
- Coordinated and managed people, programs, systems or processes.
- Prepared reports and recommendations for stakeholders
- Ability to multitask, time management skills and meet deadlines
- Worked effectively in a changing environments that call for resourcefulness, initiative and responsiveness
