This role will involve;
- Lead and develop the counselling team to achieve strategic objectives, including service planning, promotional activities, and reporting. Provide coaching, support, and proactive conflict management while promoting professional behaviour and organizational principles.
- Monitor clinical governance requirements, ensuring adherence to service standards and targets. Provide line and clinical supervision to ensure practitioner welfare and program effectiveness. Participate in program evaluation and process improvement plans.
- Uphold organizational values and policies, delivering flexible and culturally sensitive services. Manage caseloads, handle escalated matters, and ensure confidential case management according to policies.
- Proactively manage budgets, equipment, and contracts to ensure sustainability of services.
- Utilize clear and respectful communication skills to support clients, stakeholders, and colleagues. Present effectively in various stakeholder meetings and forums.
- Share skills and knowledge within the team, identifying training needs and championing change management and innovations to achieve business objectives.
- Monitor staff activities against performance indicators, providing observation and line supervision to ensure quality service delivery.
- Ensure compliance with legislation, funding requirements, and organizational policies. Apply quality and risk management principles to achieve work outcomes.
The requirements for this role include;
- Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social work, or related field; or Graduate Diploma in counselling with accreditation.
- Demonstrated expertise in dispute resolution, individual/relationship counselling, or early intervention with children.
- Strong commitment to child welfare principles and experience leading teams in child-focused practices.
- Proven leadership in clinical supervision and multidisciplinary team support.
- NSW Driver’s license and WWCC
