This opportunity
The Senior Credit and Fraud Analyst will act as the subject matter expert for the Credit and Collections Team. The role will assist the Credit & Fraud Manager in supporting team members as well as proactively identifying, resolving or escalating issues affecting the customer experience and where business efficiencies can be recognised.
This position will analyse and act to reduce subscription fraud and credit risk through developing and managing policies, controls and procedures governing customer credit scoring, profiling and risk assessment.
Responsibilities
- In conjunction with the Credit & Fraud Manager, develop and manage policies, controls, procedures governing customer credit scoring, profiling and risk assessment
- Ensure customer authentication, fraud analysis and prevention at mature levels within the credit risk assessment process
- Continually improve credit application process throughput addressing causes of rejection, manual checking, and rework
- Be a point of escalation in the handling of complaints to the point of resolution, taking action to improve systems and process at every opportunity
- Advise internal stakeholders on customer validation, credit exposure and Fraud risk considerations in the delivery of new products and services
- Take on additional tasks and projects as assigned by the Credit & Fraud Manager principally focussed on risk analysis, process improvement and in support of projects and system deployments
- Act as a mentor and coach to Credit & fraud team members (on and offshore) and provide recommendations and solutions for staff training needs
- Experience in the Telecommunications industry
- Proven experience in a large organisation in high volume, automated Credit/fraud decisioning or data analytics role is essential
- Fraud analysis and credit assessment experience is essential
- Strong understanding of credit risk, financial exposure and setting credit limits
- High levels of computer literacy in data analysis and presentation tools such as SAS and Interflow
- Experience in the use of the Document Verification Service (DVS), Vevo, biometrics and device fingerprinting solutions to validate the identity of customers is highly desirable
- Previous experience in coaching or mentoring staff is highly desirable
