About the role
We’re seeking a Senior Developer to provide expert coding and configuration within the Fusion domain across Customer and Technology.
The Senior Developer will work closely alongside their peers and colleagues (Solution Architects; Delivery Leads; Engineering Managers; IT Operations; and other Software Engineers) to contribute to the platform technology roadmap, technical architecture development, lifecycle management and the progression of a range of enhancements.

This is a 12-month, full-time contingent role, based in Melbourne, VIC.
Day-to-day, you will:
- Contribute to developing the platform by providing initiative solution designs
- Conform to source code branching and merging strategies for Java application form
- Actively participate and demonstrate leadership within related industry forums
- Maximise the value of the investments by aligning requirements with the Service offerings
- Contribute to the development of the technology pipeline for the Core Tolling Applications
- Participate in the management of strategic vendor relationships
- Responsible for designing and developing new features and enhancements on the platform along with performing root cause analysis and defect remediation
- Maintain awareness of strategic drivers across Transurban such as customer journeys and plans for product variations or new assets
- 3+ years of experience in Information Technology within software development and operations environments
- Proven experience of designing, building Java/J2EE framework; Oracle Fusion Middleware, Oracle SOA Suite; Oracle Weblogic Server; Oracle Database 11g/12c
- Strong experience with these development tooling Jenkins; GitHub/Perforce; Eclipse; Artifactory; Ant & Gradle
- Strong history of team/customer engagement and staff motivation
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Good analytical and problem solving skills
- Reliable, self motivated and able to handle challenges in a dynamic organisation
