Senior Development Integrity Officer
About the position:
The City is seeking a motivated individual to support the Development Integrity team, ensuring that compliance-related obligations and functions are carried out in a legal, professional and efficient manner. This position will assist the team in undertaking investigations into suspected breaches, whilst also being responsible for providing a high level of service to customers, including the provision of accurate and timely advice.
Key accountabilities:
- Implement Council resolutions and provide regular reports to the Coordinator Development Integrity on progress of action.
- Assist and contribute towards the identification, development, implementation and review of guidelines, policies and procedures in relation to development compliance.
- Investigate breaches (alleged or otherwise) of either town planning or building legislation.
- Comprehensive ability to develop, maintain, and contribute towards a cohesive team environment.

Position requirements:
The successful applicant will ideally possess demonstrated experience in researching and interpreting legislation, with knowledge of the relevant development legislation with Western Australia. Additionally, developed interpersonal skills are essential, with the ability to negotiate and communicate with customers and the public whilst providing a high standard of customer service.
Completion of a pre-employment medical including alcohol and other substances testing is required of all positions at the City.
Remuneration and benefits:
A salary starting from $81,618 per annum or $41.30 per hour will be offered dependent on knowledge, skills, experience and qualifications.
