Senior Development Manager - Land

Newly created role working directly with the Managing Director of a Private Development Group - an awesome opportunity to further your career!

scouted. has recently partnered with a community-focused, nimble and dynamic Private Developer with a healthy project pipeline. With plenty of activity from an acquisition point of view and numerous existing projects pressing forward, this small but powerful team is now on the hunt for a Senior Development Manager to join the team. This group cover Land Subdivisions, Retail and Commercial/Mixed Use, however this role will focus on the Land Sub part of the business. This is the perfect opportunity for someone looking to take more ownership of their projects, the strategy and the future growth of the group.
The current portfolio of projects is spread across regional Victoria, the Western Suburbs and the South West Coast. There are numerous acquisitions in DD, including interstate sites.
Your responsibilities:

• Work closely with the project team scoping and working through the tender negotiations for the build and civil contractors.
• Lead and attend PCG meetings complying with reports on progress and budget for the leadership team
• Provide advice and manage the construction programme and budget
• Prepare and manage the financial performance of the project by closely monitoring its feasibility and budgets against set objectives and outcomes
• Manage all aspects of project delivery including financial performance, reporting, budgeting, risk assessment, monthly review and cash flow management
• Take control of the administration of the construction contracts and the required administration associated

Your experience:

• Tertiary qualifications in Property, Engineering, Construction, Architecture or a related field
• Strong financial acumen and well-versed in the use of feasibility software and project cashflows
• Enthusiastic team player who doesn’t mind getting their hands dirty across the full project lifecycle
• Autonomous, fast-paced individual who is comfortable working under pressure and within a small team
• Outstanding stakeholder management, interpersonal and communication skills
