About the Role
As a Senior Development Manager in our Precincts team, you will be responsible for leading a diverse range of projects, requiring a collaborative and innovative approach. We’re looking for an enthusiastic and motivated team member to assist with these city-shaping projects.
This role will manage the development team through the planning, design, and construction phases in accordance with Development Victoria’s strategic objectives, policies and processes.
About You
You will support the Development Director and together you will build and foster strong relationships with the key stakeholders. Your proven track record in stakeholder management will be your key to success in this innovative and inclusive development team.
You will have the following skills and experience:
- Bachelor degree in a construction, property development, financial or project management discipline or related industry.
- Substantial and broad ranging experience in the management of projects.
- Experience in contract management of Development Agreements.
- Proven ability and experience in planning, organising and coordinating the development, design and construction of large development projects.
- Experience managing and directing people to generate successful results.
- Experience in the preparation and analysis of financial feasibility studies, budgeting and tight cost monitoring to achieve profitable outcomes.
- Experience in the preparation of complex briefs, letters, emails and reports using clear, concise and grammatically correct language.
Key Responsibility
- Build and foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support delivery of allocated projects.
- Manages the financial performance of the allocated project(s) by closely monitoring the financial performance against the set objectives and outcomes and arranging evaluation reports to management.
- Utilises project costing and management reporting systems and oversees their effective implementation to monitor delivery of projects against agreed budgets and performance targets.
- Manages negotiations on project outcomes with development partners, contractors and officers of Government agencies.
- Manages internal and external project inputs including planning, design and program for allocated projects.
- Directs project staff, consultants and contractors in the successful delivery of project outputs.
