The role:
Ideally the ideal candidate will be proficient in all aspects of electrical engineering and must have a strong desire to service their clients, through their expert industry knowledge. You will play a major role the planning development, and execution of electrical systems and obtain key results for several different projects. You will head up a team of high performing engineers, by way of sharing your knowledge and experience, as well as mentoring to ensure the project is successful.
Your core duties & responsibilities will include:
- Head up the design and development of electrical systems and ensuring compliance with industry standards and client requirements.
- Conduct thorough analysis, calculations, and models to ensure performance and reliability is at its peak.
- Prepare and review technical specifications, drawings, and documentation for electrical components and systems conforming with all standards and regs etc.
- Be a team player by sharing your skills and knowledge.
- Collaborate across the team to ensure the client is always receiving the highest quality service and therefore the best end product.
- Conduct site visits and inspections as needed to assess project requirements and ensure quality control during implementation.
- Constant research of the industry, keeping up with latest releases and developing technologies, along with best practice in the field. Always be looking to improve by being aware of in electrical engineering and incorporate relevant innovations to projects.
What you will need to succeed:
- You have a thirst for industry knowledge and possess a drive to succeed through your can-do and client focussed attitude. You have a drive to perform to succeed and fully satisfy your clients needs.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or closely related field
- High level of experience in electrical engineering, with a specialty in building services
- Extensive knowledge of electrical design principles, codes, and relevant standards.
- Proficiency in CAD software including AutoCAD and Revit, as well as electrical design programs
- You have proven written and oral communication and interpersonal skills including demonstrated ability to build and sustain positive relationships.
- Disciplined with remarkable organisational skills to meet targets and purpose.
- Effective and efficient use of time to ensure a timelines and targets are achieved.
