Verve Partners is proud to partner exclusively with one of Melbourne's most sought-after power solutions engineering consultancies who offer design, consulting, and project management services to their clients within the manufacturing, mining, food processing, construction, government, port, and heavy industrial sectors.
Their Electrical Engineering services include power system modeling, HV/LV design, earthing/lightning protection, control systems and electrical audits.
We are looking for aSenior Electrical Engineerto join their team. The role is to provide direct technical input, supervision, and customer support across a broad range of industrial power applications.

The Role

• Working on design projects from inception to completion, you will be confident working in and supporting a team to offer solutions-based, pragmatic designs that meet the needs of the client; whilst maintaining resources within budgets
• With your keen eye for detail, you will oversee your team’s designs, recommending necessary improvements and revisions; whilst always maintaining strict adherence to Australian and other standards
• While having an evident technical flair, you will also need to be a great communicator with other team members but also for the loyal stakeholder base, confident at operating in an advisory capacity for complex designs.
• Support and coach undergraduate and junior team members to become critical thinkers with the confidence to grow into their roles and contribute to the wider team.
• Participate in project scoping and tendering on new work.

Ideal Experience

• A tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering with a minimum of five (5) years post-graduate experience in industrial Electrical Engineering
• Proven experience managing projects and mentoring small teams of Electrical Engineering resources.
• Sound knowledge of Low Voltage and control systems
• Actively participating in relevant industry bodies, such as Engineers Australia.
• Registered Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) - Institute of Engineers Australia or Registered Professional Engineer (RPEng) – Association of Professional Engineers Australia
