About the role
Due to continued growth, we are wanting to speak with experienced Senior Electrical Engineers to join our Osborne Park based team. You will play an integral part in the ongoing success of our current and coming projects within our Electrical team.
The role
Undertake Substation/MCC Electrical Engineering and design.
Undertake process plant/field electrical and instrumentation engineering/design.
Layout design including cable routing, equipment layouts, substation layouts etc.
Undertake detailed Electrical Engineering calculations.
Preparation of equipment data sheets and technical specifications.
Scope and technical/commercial schedules development.
Support electrical equipment procurement activities.
Technical/commercial bid evaluations and negotiations.
Undertake Vendor Package/Documentation Reviews and interface to engineering/design.
Work closely with the EI&C team and other disciplines to deliver projects within cost and schedule constraints.
What you’ll bring to the team
Experience in SEL protection relay configurations, testing, commissioning including IEC 61850 GOOSE messaging and SEL real-time automation controllers.
Experience in Substation, HV and LV Switchboard testing and commissioning.
Experience in High Voltage engineering and design.
Engineer/design solutions in-line with Company/Australian Standards, with a strong focus on safety in design.
Experience in arc flash protection configuration and testing.
HV and LV power system modelling and protection design is desirable.
VSD/soft starter settings and testing is desirable.
Ability to work independently on multiple projects with conflicting deadlines.
The role will be predominantly Perth-based but will require periods of working onsite for undertaking commissioning activities.
Bachelor Degree – Electrical engineering.
Senior level (>7 year) experience in an engineering role.
Major Project experience is essential.
Substation/Switchboard Factory Acceptance Testing and on-Site commissioning experience is essential.
HV engineering and design experience is essential.
Electrical and instrumentation engineering/design experience on material handling and process plants is preferred.
