The core capability requirements for this role are:
- Provide high level advice timely and independent advice to management and staff on employee/industrial relations issues, dispute resolution matters, employment frameworks and enterprise agreements.
- Provide interpretation advice on awards, enterprise agreements and legislation.
- Build and maintain effective working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders and clients and subject matter experts to support negotiation, development, and implementation of industrial relations artifacts including enterprise agreements.
- Provide strategic IR advice and support, including case management activities, such as discipline, investigation, employee complaints and performance management.
- Research, review and prepare reports, briefs, submissions, and other correspondence in range of case management, governance, industrial relations and Employee Relations issues.
- Contribute to the evaluation of employee relation services and initiatives that encourage continuous improvement and best practice processes and procedures.

Technical/ Operational/ Educational experience:
Experience in a legislative/industrial relations interpretive setting and possession of tertiary qualifications in employment law or industrial/Employee Relations fields will be highly regarded.
Other:
Interstate and intrastate travel may be required.
