Atlassian’s mission is to unleash the potential of every Team, and what better way to be a part of achieve that mission by building out and establishing the “Team” entity as a core part of a user’s experience as they work across the Atlassian tool suite!
The Atlas Teams team owns the concepts of a User and Team across our product suite – think User and Team profiles and hover cards, the people directory, that kind of thing. And the team is on a roll, recently landing Teams in Jira and laying the foundation for a pretty exciting future. From here, we’ll further develop the User and Team profiles into extensible, feature-rich experiences that help make teams more effective. We’ll bring a ton of value to larger organisations by tying together the concepts of Groups and Teams, allowing users to sync Teams from their favourite Identity provider. We’ll establish Teams as a permissions principal, so adding someone to a team automatically gives them access to all the things they need to go started when they join.
There’s a whole lot more, but that should give you a taste of what’s to come! And we’re looking for a strong engineering leader to help steer this team through an action-packed roadmap.
In this role, you will:
Manage a team of developers who own both the platform capabilities associated with Teams, and the user experiences around Teams (profiles, directories, cards, etc)
Help individuals on your team grow and achieve their professional goals as they build this software
