We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer who will join the data governance team, platform, analytics, reporting and intelligence specialists driving a data-driven, intelligence led approach to strategic decision making and business operations.
About the Job
- Use best practice methodologies and tools, including data modelling, science, statistical and reporting methodologies to identify trends, risks and opportunities providing expert analytics, reporting advice and insights to Fair Trading to enable informed decision-making
- Design, build and maintain a range of data products for strategic and operational audiences by applying your data extraction, transformation and loading, and server and application management skills
- Contribute to a team of multi-skilled data governance, platform, analytics, reporting and intelligence specialists, identifying synergies, enhancing productivity and fostering innovation
- You will have local/federal Gov experience
- Expertise with modern analytics approaches and packages, data warehousing and development tools, such as Snowflake and Python
- Baseline Clearance (ideal)
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently while contributing positively to the greater team goals and pipeline
- High level of integrity and experience dealing with sensitive data
- Strong relationship building and stakeholder management skills
