A nationwide construction company with a local presence in Darwin, having a strong network in the Northern Territory and now aiming for further growth. This is an excellent opportunity to join a skilled construction team and contribute to projects ranging from $10m to $40m.
About the role
- Review tender documentation to understand project requirements and propose optimal financial solutions to secure contracts while mitigating risks;
- Conduct site visits to assess project parameters and gather additional information to meet client requirements;
- Complete any clarifications or provide further information required by the Tender Administrator after the tender has closed;
- Be involved in post-tender negotiations and review tender performance;
- Prepare the tender letter and any attachments required by the tender documents; and
- Review trade quotations and seek clarification as necessary.
About you
- Understanding of the estimating processes and systems including building practices, methodologies and legislation;
- Ability to read and interpret drawings, plans, contracts, specifications, terms and conditions;
- Ability to understand price risk and make recommendations in regard to contract cost and profitability;
- Ability to review trade quotes and identify where and when clarifications required; and
- Ability to develop relationships with subcontractors in order to gain pricing advantage.
