About the position
We are currently seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our Estimating team as a Senior Estimator - Masters and Systems Management. This position is intended to handle the back office and analytical aspects of estimating and will sit apart from both production and sales estimating. This position will maintain our current processes and Systems and play a crucial part in the future rollout of new ACC applications and processes.
As Senior Estimators your responsibilities will include but be not limited to
- Responsible for managing the Mitek Master team for producing new Master designs in accordance with set KPIs.
- Oversee Master BOQ updates in response to ETS construction, design, or product specification modifications, as well as regulatory requirements.
- Keep a record of the Boq summary and comprehensive pricing, and manage and maintain the master Boq.
- Ensure all the relevant systems are updated in timely manner by removing archived products.
- Manage base design price, display upgrades (VBP and retail), and BOQs for display houses.
- Support with catalogue item modifications where required, under the direction of Procurement and Estimation Manager.
- Manage issues with price variations in accordance with the input from the procurement team and accounts.
- Proactively identify improvement opportunities to speed up the production of tenders by automating as much of the process as possible.
- Create and maintain VPB catalogue items and recipes
- Support & facilitate maintenance of Planswift templates, Databuild Recipes and macros and Framework VPB updates.
- Liaising with internal departments including accounts, sales, estimation and projects.
To be considered for the position you must be able to demonstrate the following:
- Appropriate qualifications in the building & construction management preferred.
- Strong residential construction knowledge with a minimum of 4 years' experience in a similar role
- Prior experience using Estimating software (i.e. Databuild, BuildSoft, Timerbline PlanSwift or similar)
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Have effective communications skills.
- A positive attitude and team player temperament
- Ability to prioritise and manage a multiple-tasks at the same time.
- Provide exceptional customer service and respond promptly to inquiries from internal and external stakeholders.
