Form of workBased in our Perth QV1 Office, we have a new opportunity for an experience Senior Estimator, ideally with demonstrated experience working within an Engineering Consulting or Engineering Procurement Management environment, across the Mineral resources/Mining sector in the Study Stages of projects.
Tasks | Experience not limited to:
- Prepare relevant study report documentation including Estimating Plan, Capital Cost Estimate and Basis of Estimate.
- Develop multi-disciplinary detail capital cost estimates for a variety of Mining and Infrastructure projects
- Coordinate and consolidate estimates from third parties in the preparation of the capital cost estimates
- Analyse drawings, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, and resource estimates
- Develop the basis of the estimate document including assumptions, qualifications and exclusions
- Analyse and maintain historical data to establish standard hours for various disciplines
- Maintain an estimate data base from previous projects
- Provide cost estimate expertise and technical support during all phases of the project
- Work with procurement in obtaining competitive quotes for the provision of necessary materials and services
- Undertake accurate material take-offs and man hour calculations
- Partake in tender reviews with senior management
- Assist in the preparation of tender submission documents in line with client and Company requirements
- Extensive experience in Mining, Mineral Processing and Construction sector
- Good knowledge and use of Microsoft Office suite
- Great time management, organisational and multi-tasking skills
- Strong communication and client relationship building skills
