About Your Opportunity
Reporting to our Supervisor Recreation and Catchment Operations, you will perform the maintenance and management of catchment areas and recreational sites to ensure they are safe and fit for purpose for public use.
This role is responsible for:
- Conducting patrols on Seqwater owned land and on water to ensure Seqwater policies are being adhered to, and take appropriate action as required.
- Maintaining Seqwater public recreation areas ensuring the facilities and grounds are fit for purpose and safe for public use.
- Developing daily, weekly and monthly work plans to ensure the most effective use of resources and the completion of work in accordance with relevant standard operating procedures.
- Undertaking a range of administrative activities to support operations including but not limited to identify issues and opportunities for improvement; development, review and modification of work instructions and operational procedures and work instructions, procurement activities, and development and/or contribution to reports, business cases, and other business information as required.
This role will be part of team that works on a roster including weekends, public holidays and some on-call work (shift allowances apply).
About you
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
- Certificate IV in Conservation and Land Management, or demonstrated equivalent experience.
- Possess a C class drivers' licence for a manual vehicle.
- Experience in engaging and managing contractor services.
- Demonstrated ability to deal with complex public relations situations.
- Well developed and effective communication skills with a demonstrated ability to work with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
