Swisslog has a great opportunity for a skilled and passionate Material Handling Systems (MHS) Service Engineering Technician who is passionate about robotics and has a desire to work for an automation powerhouse.
We are looking for someone to join our Customer Services team, playing a critical role in ensuring the seamless operation of MHS for our valued customers. You'll leverage your technical expertise to diagnose and resolve complex mechanical and electrical issues with precision, all while fostering a collaborative and results-oriented atmosphere within your team.
Here's what you'll do:
- Take ownership of customer and supplier communications and relationships
- Pro-actively monitor the operation of the MHS to assist with the prevent of failures or defects
- Creation and distribution of breakdown and preventative maintenance reports
- Manage sub-contractors as required
- Carry out in-dept technical investigations for system problems
- Maintain Swisslogs commitment to site specific Work, Health and Safety regulations
- Manage the preventative maintenance program
About you:
- At least 7 years of experience (post trade) as an MHS Service Engineering Technician or a similar role, with trade qualification
- A valid full driver's license and the ability to be on-call
- A proven ability to effectively diagnose and repair complex mechanical and electrical systems
- Familiar with Computerise Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) such as Agility and Maximo
- Experience with a Customer Relationship Management system (CRM)
- Experience working with Programmable Logic Controller (PLCs) and automation systems with the ability to optimize automation processes and diagnose faults
- Demonstrated leadership qualities, motivating and guiding a team to achieve shared goals
- Strong organisational and time management skills, prioritising tasks and meeting deadlines
- An unwavering commitment to safety and adherence to all relevant protocols and procedures
- Excellent customer service and communication skills, allowing you to build rapport with customers and clearly explain technical concepts
- You are adept at using Microsoft Office tools including Word, Excel and Powerpoint
