The position
The Senior Finance Analyst role at Tiimely offers a dynamic opportunity to support the business strategy and continuous improvement of our financial decisions, controls, planning and reporting.
This opportunity will see you be a part of our finance team with a primary focus of assisting with financial decisions and accounting activities, creating, and supporting accurate and timely financial information and accounting records.
Your other responsibilities will include:
Work proactively with the finance team while partnering with stakeholders and the business on achieving its financial goals
Support corporate and commercial initiatives and projects where needed including conducting market research, validating business cases, and assisting with corporate development activities
Represent the finance team and be able to confidently tell the story behind the numbers when engaging with stakeholders around the business
Support the preparation of financial statements and assisting with month end cycle and closure (including balance sheet and reconciliations)
Prepare R&D and capitalisation calculations and relevant work papers
Support the annual audit activity and processes
Continuously assist the improvement of internal processes, policies and procedures
Support and guide developing members of the finance team
The successful candidate
Here's some of the things we'd like you to bring:
Tertiary qualifications in accounting, finance, or commerce coupled with a professional qualification such as a CPA/ CA will be highly preferable
A commercial mindset and a collaborative approach
5 years minimum relevant experience providing analysis, systems, and decision support that helped drive business success, preferably in a technology or fintech organisation
Demonstrated experience running and executing month end processes and reporting, including journals and balance sheet reconciliations
Proven experience assisting in the development of budgets and forecasts
Knowledge of tax accounting, R&D, GST, FBT and company tax
Excellent communication and strong stakeholder management skills
Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills
Exposure to a broad range of integrated accounting systems
