We are seeking a Senior Finance Business Partner to support our National Maintenance & Intelligence Transport Systems (ITS) team within our Transport & Infrastructure (T&I) business. The key purpose of this role is to facilitate finance processes and support operations to understand and utilise financial information to drive performance and minimise transaction activity.
Reporting to the GM Finance T&I you will work closely with the GM Maintenance & ITS to implement and drive strategic initiatives and be a trusted advisor providing financial support and decision making by building and maintaining strong relationships. This role can be based in either Sydney or Melbourne.
ABOUT YOU
- Tertiary Qualifications in Finance, Accounting, or related field as well as CPA or CA qualification.
- Minimum 10+ years’ experience working in a complex contracted services or engineering environment, infrastructure or construction preferred.
- Proven track record of a strategic forward-thinking approach to provide improvement and optimisation advice to management.
- Experience in providing in-depth insights and analysis on key project performance drivers.
- Ability to have robust conversations and challenge results to ensure outcomes are within constraints of the business.
- Hands-on business accounting experience, budgeting, forecasting, month-end and P&L management & reporting.
- Flexibility with travel in order to support the National Maintenance & ITS business where relevant.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal with the ability to break down complex matters for all stakeholders.
- High attention to detail, with a successful working knowledge of policy, regulations, contractual requirements and risk.
