We are seeking a Senior Finance Manager to join the admin team in our Retirement Village based on the Gold Coast.
Responsibilities will include:
• Fortnightly Payroll of 50 staff – assisting with payroll and superannuation processing and payroll enquiries
• Accounts Payable and Receivable Processing and resident enquiries
• Bank and Credit Card Reconciliations
• Preparation / Lodgement of BAS and Payroll Tax
• Weekly liaison with External Accounting Support
• Monthly Financials Reporting to Managing Director
• Liaising with other Village Departments for cross over functions
• Share general functions of filing and archiving
To be successful for this role the right person should have:
• Minimum 7 years’ experience in similar role
• Xero accounting software experience essential
• Strong Microsoft Office Excel skills
• A solid understanding of accounting principles
• Work with current processes and offer improvements for efficiency
• Strong attention to detail, excellent time management and organisational skills
• Work within a multi entity environment
• Preference for a contractor-based role
Some task examples include but not limited to:
• Management of Bank Accounts for all RV Entities. Liaise with Bank Manager for general banking issues.
• Daily cash position summary for Managing Director, Exit Entitlement Summary review for Legal Dept.
• Journal creations and processing, Village Leasing spreadsheet maintenance.
• Liaise with all area managers and Care Services Team Coordinator on all financial village issues.
• Review AR / AP with clerk to address outstanding receipts/payments, ATO ASIC / ABN updates for all entities.
• Quarterly financial reports for village, RV Insurance Policies, Management Work Cover QLD Policies.
• Retirement village budget, Work with external auditors for financial audit, Quantity Surveyors Report Yearly.
• Prepare company tax workpapers and journals, RV Contactor Agreements for permanent services.
• Rentals Management– CPI Increase as per contract
• Residents Fees CPI increase, Capital purchases and depreciation of assets.
• Discuss strategic financial management with directors, discussing, implementing new accounting procedures.
• Spot attendance at Resident Committee Meetings and Annual General Meeting.
• Liaise with the Department of Housing for RVA financial issues
• Liaising with Builders on new constructions, with GCCC for rates rebates, with RV legal counsel as required.
• Management insurance claims for the plant, equipment, and general village issues
Income and wages to be negotiated. Preference for a contract based agreement.
