Our opportunity As a Senior Financial Accountant – Funds Management, you will actively contribute and support the financial & management accounting, statutory reporting and taxation of a portfolio of mandates managed by Mirvac. This role is a 12-month fixed term contract. Your responsibilities will include: Business Partnering, Cash & Debt Management, Financial Control, Tax Compliance, Stakeholder management and more. Finance business partner to the National Manager, Finance, Funds Management, Group Finance and Group Tax. Delivery of monthly management accounts and reporting packs for the portfolio of mandates, preparation of the half-year and annual financial statements for the portfolio of mandates. Review of work, coaching and providing guidance to offshore team members on reconciliations and calculations, general ledger postings, processing and output of reports. Assist the Finance Manager with auditor requests/deliverables, the preparation of Board and IC reporting and other requests as required. Maintenance of accounting systems to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of accounting operations, identify and implement process improvement opportunities. Timely forecasting of cash flow requirements and assist in facilitating the repatriation of funds and other ad hoc requests from the Mirvac Treasury team; instruct, review and facilitate debt and cash transfer requests, and payment directions for custodian payments; and management of trust invoice/bill payments and coding. Assist the team with the preparation of the distribution review forecasting, calculations, monthly Business Activity Statement compliance, re-capitalisation of sub trusts, fund payment calculations and annual distribution calculations and tax returns. Adherence to internal tax policies and procedures, including fund payment, distribution calculations and tax returns, BAS and tax forecasting. Analyse and respond to queries, issues and other requests from internal and external stakeholders.
