Robert Half is currently recruiting for an experienced Accountant, who will be responsible for the delivery of the financial reporting for a high-profile organisation based in Melbourne's CBD.
This role is a six-month fixed term contract so will include public holiday pay, annual leave accrual and sick leave.
The organisation is highly recognised throughout Victoria and has an established and high-performing finance team. You will be responsible for the organisation's financial processes and financial reporting.
If you have several years' experience in a similar role and are immediately available, this would be a great opportunity for you.
The Role
Reporting to the organisation's Finance Manager your duties will include:
- Timely & accurate month-end and year-end reporting
- Production of all accounting reports
- Complex reconciliations
- Revenue reporting
- Ensuring compliance with current accounting standards
- Board reporting
- Budgeting, forecasting
- Variance analysis
- Management reporting
- Working with external auditors
- Ensuring all financial management systems (including governance policies, procurement policies, risk management and statutory compliance) are in place and adhered to
- Providing leadership, direction and feedback within the team when required

Your Profile
To be successful you will have proven experience in a similar role and be able to take ownership of the accurate & timely production of the organisation's accounting reports.
