Remuneration: $106,142 per annum - $125,241 per annum + super and annual leave loading

ABOUT THE ROLE
The Senior Financial Accountant is responsible for financial accounting services, ensuring compliance in accordance with NSW Ambulance policies and all relevant legislative, statutory, government and customer requirements. The primary focus of the position will be lease accounting and other financial accounting matters pertaining to NSW Ambulance. In addition, the person will also be involved in the day-to-day operations processing and analysis of financial transactions.

ABOUT YOU
To be successful in this role, you will require the following experience and attributes:
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in contemporary financial accounting, accounting standards.
- Demonstrated experience in general ledger management; extensive knowledge of and experience in preparing standard and customised financial management reports on a regular and ad hoc basis.
- High level communication and interpersonal skills, including ability to interact effectively with staff, managers and external stakeholders. Strong written communication skills with the ability to prepare detailed reports, and management briefs.
- Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills with extensive experience in interpretation of financial data and the preparation of comprehensive reports to assist managers in making business decisions
- Knowledge and experience with Australian taxation law (in particular FBT, GST and salary packaging arrangements) within a large organisation is preferable but not mandatory.
