The Opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to be part of an organisation dedicated to nation-building renewable energy projects that will provide on-demand energy and large-scale storage for many generations to come.
The Senior Financial Systems Accountant will be responsible for system management, support and configuration to facilitate optimal system and process outcomes in line with Transgrid business objectives. This includes user support in the management of a range of systems such as, Oracle Fusion ERP, that are critical to the Transgrid processes, decision making and the IT landscape
In your role you will be responsible for managing system developments and enhancements including the design, improvement and building of system and reporting solutions to empower decision makers, allowing them to make better and faster decisions. You will structure, analyse and visualize Transgrid's current state; design and visualize the future state; and design and guide the change process from current to future state.
You will be the Subject Matter Expert and central point of contact for the standards and processes of multiple finance systems including Oracle Fusion ERP (GL, AP, AR, Fixed Assets etc), Reconciliation, Consolidation and Close, Budgeting and Forecasting, Expense Management, Treasury, Banking etc. You will also support business unit functions within other Transgrid systems including HR, Procurement and others.
About you
- Tertiary qualifications in business, systems, engineering or in a related discipline; or equivalent relevant experience
- Knowledge and understanding of the Australian Electricity Network and rules and processes for building and maintaining transmission networks
- Extensive applied experience and understanding of finance processes
- Excellent understanding of Transgrid's budgeting and financial structure to maintain consistency and alignment between systems
- Strong experience leading and shaping significant business transformation and system implementation projects
- Extensive knowledge and experience in management of corporate systems including Oracle Fusion ERP, other finance systems (eg expense management software, payroll), performance reporting systems and project management tools (eg PPM).
- Strong change management expertise and preference for lean six sigma capability
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to be able to influence and present at executive and Board levels
- Highly advanced interpersonal, stakeholder management and negotiation skills
- Exceptionally strong business acumen supported by excellent analytical and decision making skills
- Innovative thinker and thought leader
- Demonstrated integrity and commitment to ethical practice, equity and diversity
- Demonstrated time management skills including the ability to manage competing priorities to achieve deadlines and desired outcomes
- Extensive analytical and problem solving skills, with proven ability to adopt a pro-active stance towards business issues
- Current Drivers Licence
