Senior Fund Accountant

About the Company
Our client is a growing fund manager based in Melbourne CBD who are seeking a Senior Fund Accountant.Working closely with the Head of Fund Accounting, you will help to provide high-quality investment and tax accounting oversight, and work closely with internal teams across the business to ensure the end-to-end fund accounting processes run smoothly.Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage the custodian across fund accounting and performance functions;
• Prepare and review fund valuation/NAV, financial statements and tax reports;
• Collaborate and manage relationships with key stakeholders within the custodian, auditors, operations, and investment management teams;
• Driving internal process efficiencies and contributing to strategic initiatives and ad-hoc projects; AND
• Perform ad-hoc tasks as needed to support the manager and team.

Technical Skills & Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in Accounting/Finance/Commerce;
• CA or CPA qualified;
• 5+ years' experience in fund accounting, specifically across unlisted assets is ideal;
• An analytical mindset with excellent verbal and written communication skills; AND
• Strong Excel skills and very strong attention to detail.
