About the role
As a Senior Governance Officer (FOI and Privacy) your responsibilities would be to ensureParks Victoria meets our legislative obligations, as well as working with the wider team on activities from the Information Management Strategy. In this position, you will work in partnership with the Governance Officer (FOI & Privacy) to handle the business-as-usual FOI and Privacy activities, including being responsible for decisions on significant and complex FOI requests and undertaking Privacy Impact Assessments.
You will be a motivated professional with the ability to communicate effectively across different levels of the organisation, as you will be responsible for developing and delivering training/awareness activities that help improve information management throughout the organisation. You will also be responsible for leading assigned information governance improvement projects and application assessments.
We're looking for someone with:
- Sound experience in managing team workloads, performance, continuous improvement, and a healthy team culture
- Demonstrated experience in Privacy and Freedom of Information functions
- Experience in Information Governance activities such as Data Management, Records Management, and/or Information Asset Management
- Ability to manage complaints processes, and complex issues and resolve difficult matters raised by demanding or dissatisfied clients, in an effective and professional manner
