NES Fircroft is partnered with a well established head mining contractor with significant projects in Papua New Guinea. This is a rapidly growing company with a number of high value upcoming projects. As a result of this growth, they require a Senior Human Resources Advisor to work on site on a fly in, fly out basis. On offer is a market leading salary, even time roster(3 weeks on/3 weeks off), flights from Australia meals and accommodation on site all paid for. This role is responsible for managing the human resource function of the site administration team in line with local and group requirements. You will ensure that HR requirements are identified that resources are assigned and effective, and that a positive, harmonious, and engaging workplace environment is maintained. Your role will be crucial to develop and implement strategies, policies and procedures that will contribute to an effective organisational structure and culture.
Experience with the following in previous roles will be highly regarded:
- Confidentiality, compliance, effective communication skills both written and verbal, influencing, listening, proactiveness, rapport building
- Recruitment and onboarding of staff
- Demobilisation and termination of staff
- Review, develop and implement HR policies and procedures
- EBA negotiations
- Compliance with labour law and wider legislation impacting on the work environment, ie. Anti-discriminatory, sexual harassment, domestic abuse laws
Key requirements for success:
- 10 plus years in the people field
- Preferred for this role - Degree in Human Resources, Certificate 4 in HR general practice
- Completion of a Pre-employment Medical and Police Check
