Your new company
Within the CFO Group the procurement team are responsible for supporting the organisation to deliver under the corporate strategy and in line with the Commonwealth Corporate entity Framework. The team are working towards a more streamlined delivery model and automation through a procure to pay system which will uplift the organisation to leading practice standards.
Your new role
In this role, you will be responsible for the provision of accurate advice and recommendations on complex procurement matters to staff, business areas and external stakeholders such as consultants and service providers. You will assist in the successful delivery of procurement related projects, reporting, strategy and business improvements and work to build the procurement and contract management capability.
This role is a hands-on procurement position which will require you to develop procurement plans, RFT's, lead the evaluation process and develop new contracts. You will be able to interpret and apply policies and processes and take a flexible approach in providing practical solutions to the business and be a team player who actively shares ideas and supports others for the success of the team.
What you'll need to succeed
You will also have excellent interpersonal and communications skills along with practical experience dealing with complex procurement work.

This role is available as a permanent opportunity for those who are already an ongoing employee within the Australian Federal Government. Should you not already hold a permanent role, the position will be offered as a 12-month contract with the view for permanency.
