Excelling in a dynamic, multi-site setting and committed to elevating end-user experiences, we invite you to join our customer-centric Technical Services team as a Senior Information Technology Support Officer.
We have two exciting opportunities available with our organisation. The first position involves providing dedicated service at our Bowen Hills hub, while the second role focuses on servicing our regional hub in Townsville. The successful candidate for the latter role has the flexibility to be based in either Townsville or Brisbane, with regular travel expected.
In this diverse and expansive role, you will be the face of Business IT, overseeing the comprehensive management of end-user technology. Your responsibilities will span from the administration and configuration to the deployment of client-facing technology and Standard Operating Environment (SOE).
In this role you will;
• Represent Business IT and associated services, providing autonomous support away from the head office as part of a virtual IT operations team.
• Support operational objectives and priorities, including Service Desk support and deployment of new products and equipment.
• Proactively create and distribute approved software packages, adhering to ITIL and best practice service delivery frameworks.
• Operate IT security technologies to ensure appropriate measures are maintained, including maintaining operating system updates and patching processes.

Reporting into the Technical Services Team Leader - this role will see you delivering top-notch IT support services that prioritise the needs of our customers.
With a focus on proactive problem-solving and advanced technical expertise, we strive to create a seamless computing environment across multiple locations. Our team values collaboration, innovation, and a customer-centric approach in everything we do.
Your expertise
- Significant hands-on experience providing technical support to end-user computer technologies.
- Recent qualifications in Microsoft technologies or significant relevant experience.
- Demonstrated experience supporting collaboration and A/V/VC technologies (MS Teams).
- Excellent written, interpersonal, and oral communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver IT support services across a multi-site environment.
We'd also love you to have:
- Relevant professional qualifications in ITIL practices and/or other applicable audit or industry standards
- Degree qualifications in a relevant discipline such as Information Technology, IT Security or Computer & Data Sciences.
Driven by a commitment to service excellence, you will demonstrate a passion for exploring new and innovative work methodologies. Your capacity for critical thinking equips you to propose practical and effective solutions.
Please note there is potential for on call roster/requirements for outside work hours.
